Car Show

The Car Show will start on Monday, May 8th, form 5:00 to 8:00 pm. It will be located on the Mt. Carmel Festival Grounds until further notice due to the construction project.

The Village Bus will be offering rides from 5:00 to 8:00 pm to and from the Mt. Carmel Club on the south side of the river to the business establishments on the south side of the river.

 

Memorial Day

The American Legion Post 247 will lead the local community in the observance of memorial Day on Monday, May 29, 2016. Services honoring all our veterans with a special emphasis toward those who are deceased will include parades within the Holy rosary Cemetery and Poland Township Cemetery. There will be a public address by a local official and a ceremonial decoration of graves. A light luncheon is planned on the second floor of city hall following the programs. The legion is inviting all of you and your families to attend.

A generous donation is requested to provide economic support for this service. We are truly grateful for your past generous contributions. We pray that you will again join us to fund this expression of community patriotism. Checks should be made payable to American Legion Post 247, an sent to our finance officer, Carmen Franco, 3861 Cumberland Dr., Austintown, OH 44515.

 

Lowellville American Legion Post 247 Will host a re-dedication ceremony of the Veterans Wall in front of Lowellville City Hall on 20 May 2017 at 1 PM.
115 names have been added to the wall which is made up of All Veterans with a connection to Lowellville who have served in time of war.
There will also be a dedication of a new bench at the wall commemorating the Lowellville American Legion and Falcon Foundry for their generosity in getting the wall updated.
